Early Saturday morning, October 7, 2023, Hamas terrorists attacked the residents of Kibbutz Nir Oz. The members of the local response team had to hold them off as best they could until the army could arrive in the afternoon.
Many were murdered, wounded or kidnapped to the Gaza Strip. Many are still missing, many of whom are children and the elderly.
Of the 400 residents of the kibbutz, 100 were murdered, kidnapped or missing.
Most of the kibbutz was destroyed and houses were looted and burned to the ground. The survivors were evacuated from the kibbutz with no knowing when they'll be able to return home.

Our small and peaceful Kibbutz was destroyed.
The agricultural kibbutz became a place of burnt fields and nightmares with no resources.
Many of the survivors were left orphaned, bereaved and also homeless, possessing only the clothes on their backs. Without any sources of income.
